Meet Carl Coleman - Shop Owner and Guide

Please reload

Carl Coleman started fly-fishing in the 1940s, and he's been been guiding, recommending gear, teaching and providing life-long memories for hundreds of upstate NY anglers since 1964.  Passionate about the sport, Carl has worked for years to upgrade fly fishing regulations and improve the quality of the fresh water fisheries in the region.

After spending a day on the water with Carl, one satisfied customer said, "Carl is a walking fly fishing encyclopedia, who probably has forgotten more about fly fishing than I'll ever know."

Well known for his fly tying skills, Carl has developed a box full of custom  patterns for the area streams - nymphs, emergers, drys and spinners - Carl has patterns for all types of fishing and conditions. Spend a day on the water with Carl - at his honey holes, fishing his patterns and taking his advice, and you will catch fish.
