Took my first 19.5 inch fish on Oatka. Cant seem to break the 20 inch mark. Grateful for the high water levels, was getting concerned with the previous low levels. Walked out of the stream last nite covered in Caddis eggs. Fish keyed on the emerging sulphurs right at dusk.

The West Branch of the AuSable River, NY is fishing extremely well. Both Greg, my son Michael and I caught many trout, including browns, and rainbows. Also, some brook trout in the Little Saranac.

When the water is high on Oatka, try Czech nymphing. Very successful way to get those big fish in the deep water.
